The Garden

Amelia Maxwell Art Advisory presents the works of Camilla Perkins and Rachel Bottomley, whose bright and colourful work resists the rigidity of society and language and instead turns to the organic and sporadic beauty of nature in bloom. Bottomley's canvases show us a bouquet in ceramics as subject against simple geometric patterns that heighten the intricacies of the flowers in their vases. Perkins, meanwhile, depicts sweeping scenes as memories where foreground and background are equally immediate and figures of women and children in idyllic clothing are situated in the patterned and gestural brush of flora that fills the whole canvas.

In "The Garden", Perkins and Bottomley have made for a veritable garden of delight for those that need it.
